The Gift of Varied and Even Uncomfortable Experiences
We often try to avoid discomfort, but the reality is that growth comes from experiencing the unfamiliar, the difficult, the unknown. Source doesn’t just want to experience joy and beauty through you—it wants the full spectrum. And every time you choose to step into something new, something challenging, something that pushes the boundaries of your comfort, you expand your own consciousness and offer Source something it has never felt through you before.
This is why it’s so important to say yes to life. Say yes to new experiences. Say yes even to discomfort. Not because you’re meant to suffer, but because through those moments, you offer something unique back to the infinite intelligence that lives through you.
The Blessing in the People You Don’t Like
And then there’s the people we just don’t like. The ones who irritate us beyond measure, who trigger something deep and uncomfortable within us. And that discomfort, that irritation, it’s there for a reason—even if you don’t fully understand it yet.
I was speaking with a friend about this just last night, and when she shared her view, I smiled because it’s exactly the way I see it too. Sometimes, you’ll meet someone highly regarded in spiritual circles. Their teachings are powerful, their knowledge incredible. But their personality—the way they speak—is harsh, jarring, even cruel at times. You hear the things that come out of their mouth, and you think, how can someone teaching such divine wisdom be so unpleasant to be around? It’s shocking. Their words feel cutting, unkind, and completely disconnected from the love and light they so beautifully articulate in their work.
And yet… there is a purpose in that harsh, unlikable personality. I’m not going to tell you what that purpose is. I’ll leave that for you to work out. And it’s important that you do, because finding the answer for yourself opens up a deeper understanding. There’s a blessing in it. There’s a gift in it. Be grateful for that person who stirs such discomfort, and gently ask yourself why. Open your higher mind to the opportunity that is yours to discover—the opportunity of why this person needs to be that way.
Everything in life moves us in a direction. Each experience—pleasant or not—offers us a set of choices. And those choices move us along our path. There’s no need to fight against it or try to control it. Simply allow yourself to wonder, What is this offering me?
Not everything needs to be figured out or defined. Sometimes you’re in a situation where you need to be. Sometimes you’re in a situation where you need to do. And just having the balance and grace to understand your place in that moment—whether you are there to weave light or being gently redirected so that you can weave light somewhere else—is a quiet understanding that lives within you when you make space for it.
Carve out the time to sit in meditation, to be still in nature, or to do whatever helps you slow down and truly listen. If you fill your life so completely that you leave no space for stillness, you will miss the awareness of what’s really unfolding around you. And that awareness is everything. It’s how you come to understand whether it’s time to stay or time to move, to act or to rest. And in that space of awareness, life flows exactly as it needs to.
Group Dynamics: The Microcosm of Collective Evolution
One area where this work is showing up powerfully is within group dynamics. And I believe this is one of the biggest clues about what Source wants to experience next through humanity. It’s easy to feel calm, enlightened, and aligned when you’re alone. But put yourself into a group dynamic—where personalities collide, egos flare, and control dynamics emerge—and that’s where the real work begins.
Life keeps presenting me with situations that challenge me in this way. Whether it’s collaborating with tradespeople, participating in spiritual communities, or navigating complex relationships, I can feel the opportunity to rise above my lower self and operate from a space of unity and higher consciousness.
I truly believe this is where Source wants to go next—into new ways of collaboration, into harmony within diversity, into the weaving of beautiful, higher frequency experiences within groups. And if we’re paying attention, we can see that these everyday interactions are not small. They are the very fabric of the new reality we are co-creating.

Weaving the New Experience for Source
When we master this delicate dance of the human and divine within community, we begin to actively weave the next evolution of experience for Source. This isn’t theoretical; it’s happening right now. Every interaction, every conversation, every time you choose love over judgement, compassion over control, you are laying the threads of a new collective reality.
And this isn’t about bypassing the hard things. It’s about holding our highest consciousness within them. It’s about remaining connected to our divine nature even when we’re surrounded by challenge, even when the old patterns of separation try to pull us back.
This is the great work of our time. And it’s the most beautiful and profound service we can offer.
The Deep Conditioning of Separation and the Constructs We Live By
The idea of separation is so deeply ingrained within us that even our most cherished spiritual teachings—those meant to guide us back to unity—are laced with the language and belief systems of division. We speak of oneness, but even in those conversations, the path is often presented as a long journey back to Source, as if we ever left. We hear about ascending levels, completing a certain number of incarnations, learning a certain number of “lessons,” reaching higher dimensions, or finally returning home to the light. It’s all part of the same story—that you are separate from Source, and that the goal is to work your way back.
But these are all constructs. Spiritual constructs. Social constructs. Constructs created to support a particular kind of experience. And perhaps that was exactly the point for a time—to create the illusion of separation so that Source could experience individuality, could explore what it feels like to be separate, to have names and roles and labels. Daughter. Mother. Sister. Teacher. Student. These are all ways we define ourselves as individuals, but they are also the barriers that separate us from the deeper truth.
And yet, none of that separation ever truly existed. It was part of the illusion, part of the grand experience that Source wanted to have. You were never anything but Source. You will never be anything but Source. You don’t work your way back to Source. You are Source, right now, fully and completely. And every belief system, every religion, every philosophy about ascension and levels and dimensions has simply been a way for Source to explore different possibilities, different ways of imagining and experiencing what it already is.
Even our understanding of the universe is shaped by this need for hierarchical structure. We think in terms of higher and lower realms, star systems with greater or lesser wisdom, planets that we imagine to be closer or further along the spiritual journey. But I’ll tell you something else—this, too, is just a construct of being here, on Earth, in this particular experience. It helps us make sense of things while we’re here, but does that reality even exist beyond this incarnation? Likely not.
And does it matter? No. Because as soon as you’re no longer here, you’ll know. And until then, the real focus should be this: How can I be the most conscious, loving, and expanded version of myself while I am here? How can I influence my environment with grace and light? How can I weave the most beautiful threads into the tapestry of this reality, and contribute to the new experience Source wishes to have through us now?
And none of this is about what’s right or wrong. It’s simply about experience. If thinking in terms of levels and ascension brings you joy, then beautiful—stay with that. If it feels liberating to let it all go, then let it all go. Every belief, every path, every perspective is simply another way for Source to experience itself. And that’s why it is so important to cultivate tolerance and acceptance for all paths. Whatever religion or belief system someone holds, whatever philosophy or tradition they follow, it is all valid. It is all part of the experience Source is having through them. And it is all perfectly okay.
The Dance of Knowing When to Be and When to Do
Finally, it’s important to understand that sometimes our work is simply to be. And sometimes, it is to do. Knowing the difference is part of the dance. There are moments to take bold action and moments to rest in quiet stillness, to listen deeply and wait for the next clear direction.
Learning this rhythm is how we stay in flow with Source, how we avoid burnout and confusion, and how we allow life to unfold in the way it’s meant to, without our constant interference.
Returning to the Mundane as a Sacred Act
And so, today—Mother’s Day—I return to the mundane with fresh eyes. Today I will clean, do laundry, and attend to the simple tasks of life. And I will do it all with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that even these small moments are sacred.
Later this afternoon, I’ll gather with other Umana Technique© teachers for a beautiful attunement swap, and for me, that is the greatest Mother’s Day gift I could receive. Not because it’s grand or indulgent, but because it nourishes my soul and reminds me that I am already living the life I once longed for.
So today, I invite you to weave light, love, and gratitude into everything you do. Offer every experience—joyful, painful, mundane, or divine—as a gift to Source. And know that in doing so, you are part of something vast and beautiful beyond comprehension.
And for that, I am endlessly grateful.

Honouring Sacred Days in Nontraditional, Beautiful Ways
Today is Mother’s Day, and like many of these culturally significant days, it often comes with expectations—presents, cards, breakfast in bed, outings for lunch. There’s a societal script for how we’re supposed to celebrate, and when life doesn’t unfold in that way, it’s easy to feel disappointed. But what if we removed all those expectations and allowed the day to unfold with grace, beauty, and spontaneity?
Today, for me, didn’t start with celebration. It began with writing this article, pouring my heart into these words, and reflecting on the deep and powerful role of the Sacred Mother and Sacred Grandmother energies in our lives. The day was also meant to be filled with the simple, necessary tasks of life—cleaning, laundry, preparing for the week ahead. But even amidst those tasks, I held the intention to bring through this sacred energy, to honour it, embody it, and share it with the world.
There are so many ways to honour a day like this that don’t follow the traditional path. You can consciously invite the Sacred Mother and Grandmother archetypes to move through you, allowing their divine grace to be felt and shared. You can call in this beautiful maternal energy and intentionally layer the world with it, allowing life itself to be enveloped in the nurturing, protective, and compassionate embrace of this divine presence.
Today can be a day of gratitude—for all the mothers and grandmothers who have shaped our world, for the fierce protection and tireless love they have given, and for the beauty and strength they embody. And we can extend that gratitude to the animal kingdom, where we see this divine maternal energy expressed so purely in the ways mothers nurture and fiercely protect their young.
We can even witness this sacred energy in the natural world—the oceans, waterfalls, volcanoes, and the life-giving abundance of Mother Earth herself. These forces are the living embodiment of the Divine Mother, holding the same energy of creation, nourishment, protection, and fierce, unstoppable power.
You can honour this day by simply offering love. You can express it to the people around you or through a quiet moment of gratitude to the Earth, to the universe, to Source. You can offer love as a thought, a prayer, a feeling, or a physical act of kindness. And if you feel inspired, do something unexpected and beautiful for your own mother or grandmother. Show them that you see them, that you appreciate all they have given, and that you honour the incredible role they have played in shaping lives and futures.
At its heart, this day is a call back to gratitude and appreciation, not only for the women who raised us but for the very energy of creation itself. And when we live from this place of gratitude—when we cultivate manners, politeness, gentleness, consideration, and compassion for all beings—we lay the foundation for the world we are trying to build. A world where we move forward together, in community, with respect and love for one another.
So however you mark this day, let it be a conscious choice. Release the expectations. Remove the demands. And allow it to be exactly what it needs to be—a day of beauty, grace, and heartfelt gratitude.
It’s important for me to acknowledge that many of the themes explored here, and throughout all my writing, are born from the incredible, inspiring, and deeply wise conversations I share with my beautiful friends and colleagues. Spirit often moves through us in these moments—not in the way of traditional channeling, but as a powerful knowing, a divine inspiration that fills you with such clarity and drive that you simply must explore and share it.
Many of these ideas are sparked through conversations with others—sometimes through profound insights shared by my friends, often wise beyond their years, especially those in their sacred silver years. I am endlessly grateful for the wisdom, insight, and inspiration we share together, and for the co-creation of the ideas that are woven into this and all of my articles. It is a joy and an honour to share these conversations and the beautiful light they bring into the world.
