Calling in Conscious Trades & Services – Building a Community Within a Community

Over the last 12 months, I’ve had to deal with a lot of trades. And over the last 9 years, I’ve had to deal with more than my fair share of health, education and service providers. And to be honest, many of those experiences have caused me deep trauma, emotional distress, and significant financial cost.

Some of these people have done terrible work, caused damage that’s had to be completely redone, charged ridiculous amounts, and left me emotionally and financially depleted. And no matter how much releasing, clearing, energetic work, or personal growth you do, you can’t always bypass the reality that some people just aren’t aligned — they’re not honest, they’re not kind, and they’re not able to meet you at the level of respect or compassion you live your life.

And I just keep thinking — it doesn’t have to be this hard. I don’t believe we need to wait for some ideal off-grid lifestyle to feel supported. I’d love to live in a small country town where everyone’s wonderful and aligned and respectful. But that’s not possible for me right now. And I don’t think we should have to wait.

So I’ve decided — I’m going to create it anyway. Right here. In the middle of the big city. With the people who do live with integrity. And I know we’re out there — because we all have jobs.

So here’s the vision:

I’m creating a free, community-built database of trades, practitioners, and professionals who are genuinely aligned with conscious values. The kind of people who get it. Who are honest, respectful, energetically aware, and want to do good work for good people.

To begin with, I’m focusing on trades — tilers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, builders, landscapers, painters, roofers etc. All the practical folks we need for renovations and home maintenance (and often feel burnt by). From there, we’ll move through all the other sectors — health, education, professional services, creative work, therapists, wellness providers, you name it.

Eventually, this will expand not just across Victoria, but across Australia, and then globally.

The dream?

That you’ll be able to organise a retreat in Guatemala and already have trusted names. That wherever you go — or whatever service you need — there’s someone in the conscious community who actually feels aligned. Big hearts. Good energy. Honest work.

Why I’m doing this

This whole idea has come out of a really horrible experience. One that has deeply affected me. But if I hadn’t gone through it, I wouldn’t have had this idea — and I really believe this idea is going to benefit all of us.

When you’ve been brought to your knees too many times by people who leave your house in chaos and then send you a huge invoice, it becomes very clear: this is not the way forward.

And then… you come across a beautiful soul — like I did this week — who does an incredible job, takes his time, listens, and respects your home. And you feel completely different. Safe. Uplifted. Like you’ve just had a genuine human exchange.

And you think: more of this, please.

This is what I want for all of us — to be able to enjoy our lives more and deal with difficult, low-integrity people less. That’s what this is about. Not perfection. Just building a network of people who care, who are respectful, who hold aligned values — and to feel that we are part of a beautiful community, connected by alignment.

Working in people’s homes is a task that requires respect, responsibility, and emotional maturity. Sadly, in the trades industry, these qualities are often the last thing you see. Too many leave behind damage, disruption, and are incredibly difficult to deal with when things go wrong.

But in our beautiful community of conscious and spiritual seekers, we know how important integrity is. Respect matters. Accountability matters. Care matters.

There’s absolutely no reason we can’t build our own aligned network — across all industries and professions — where we support one another and co-create the kind of future we’ve always dreamed of.

Here’s how it’ll work. This is a free offering, not a business. It will be shared privately (not in public comments — please don’t post names there). It will start simple — likely just a Google Sheet or shared document. There will be a vetting process, and people will need to do their own personal discernment as well.

It will grow and evolve organically, with feedback and community input over time. It will be joyful and honest. No more hippopotamuses stomping on your roof (yes, that happened). No more despair. Just wonderful, aligned people.

And if there’s ever a possibility for bartering, great. Sometimes a graphic designer is happy to trade for two Reiki sessions. That’s the kind of spirit-led flexibility I want to make space for too. But of course, everyone deserves to be paid properly if that’s what they choose.

This is about energy, ethics, and intention.

It’s about choosing the kind of people we allow into our lives.

And it’s about giving ourselves permission to opt out of hardship and opt in to aligned community.

Yes, it’s wide-eyed. Yes, it’s a big dream. But I truly believe it’s a beautiful one — and one that could become a real blessing for so many of us.
