Equinox Gate: Squeezed, Purged, and Rising

We are in an incredibly significant energetic time. For many, it feels like being squeezed through the birth canal; constricted, flattened, and profoundly uncomfortable. This is equinox season, the final gate, and what we are experiencing is nothing less than the labor pains of a new era of light being born.

Why It Feels So Heavy

The intensity right now mirrors the exhaustion and overwhelm at the end of physical labor. As Kachina Ma’an reminded us, there comes a stage where the pain feels unbearable, you want to stop, to press undo, to walk away from the process altogether. Yet this is precisely the moment when the birth is closest.

Energetically, this is a collective dark night of the soul. The fog can feel so thick that you question whether the divine is even real. You may feel detached from yourself, from reality, and from spirit. It can seem like abandonment, as though you’ve been left to stumble on your own. A light-hearted way to picture it is like Samantha from Bewitched on the days her magic stopped working, suddenly left without her usual powers, forced to walk as a mere mortal.

And yet, the most important factor here is faith. Even if you can’t sense divinity, it is still present. Even if you feel lost, you are not. You will find your way back, and when you do, the transformation that has been unfolding in the unseen layers will be undeniable.

When Healing Feels Numb

If you’ve been receiving healing work or energy sessions lately and felt little or nothing, know that you are not alone. A few weeks ago, people reported feeling the heaviness of the energy without its beauty. Now, many feel almost nothing at all. This doesn’t mean it isn’t working. Quite the opposite, it means you’re in the fog. On deeper layers, profound shifts are taking place. The effects will surface in the weeks to come, even if they are invisible right now.

It’s natural to wonder whether to continue with sessions in this phase. Personally, I do. Even when it feels like nothing is happening, I trust that incredible transformation is underway. The sense of emptiness is the illusion; the work is real.

Purging Through the Body

The energetic squeeze is also surfacing physically. You may notice strange illnesses or viruses that linger, test negative, and yet leave you feeling terrible. Headaches, fatigue, and unusual symptoms are part of a great purging. The body is shedding the sticky, dense layers that need to clear so you can embody as much of this incoming light as possible.

You are the beacon. You are preparing to hold and radiate frequencies that others will lean on for inspiration, confirmation, and compassion. This is part of how the mass awakening will spread.

Self-Care in the Squeeze

Because the pressure is so strong, it is essential to put yourself first. Many of us have been running at full speed through August and September, overextended and exhausted. Now is the time to simplify. Strip back to what is essential. If something feels too much, park it. You are not required to be everything to everyone right now.

Allow yourself more rest. Honour your need for extra sleep. Pay attention to the strange, vivid dreams that may come. All of this is part of being compressed through the birth canal, preparing for rebirth.

Even though times are heavy, joy is medicine. Call your spiritual friends and peers. Support each other. Share love. Plan a gathering or a simple celebration for the Equinox. Laugh, dance, play. In the midst of challenge, choose fun wherever you can. These moments of lightness help balance the intensity of the times.

Staying the Course

This is the last stretch of a process we have been moving through for years. If you feel like giving up, know that many others feel the same. Doubts may arise: “This is too hard,” “It’s not working,” “Maybe I’m in the wrong place.” Recognise these as illusions.

The truth is: you are exactly where you are meant to be. You are profoundly important for this process. You are a luminous beacon of light, and your presence is needed now more than ever. Stay focused. Stay in your lane. Keep seeking what opens you to the divine.

For me, it feels almost like a cartoon: being rolled flat through a giant press, then drifting out the other side like a delicate sheet of paper, floating gently to the ground. This is the strangeness of transformation, the discomfort and the magic intertwined.

So let’s look after ourselves, and each other. Let’s trust the process, even when we can’t feel it. And let’s hold faith in what is being born, because this new era of light is nearly here.

Equinox Intentions: Plant, Alchemize, Amplify

This is also the last window to plant your seeds of intention. Everything you want to see amplified, personally or collectively, is ready to be declared and sown now. Love, joy, freedom, kindness, creativity, connection, health, laughter, thriving communities, whatever your heart desires, this is the time to plant it.

Look at whatever is triggering you, whatever pressure or insecurity is arising, as an opportunity: to release, to alchemize, to step through, and to create something entirely new. You have a blank canvas ahead of you. You can be, do, or create anything your heart truly desires. Take the first step by choosing, then know you can adjust and evolve again and again.

This is a time of true creativity and creation. Let go of the sticky, heavy burdens you’ve been carrying. You don’t need them anymore. Like climbing the final peak of a mountain, you will move faster, lighter, and with more ease if you release that weight. Trust that you are supported and that your efforts will be amplified on the other side, for you and for the collective.

Connect with the Equinox, with the light of this new era and plant your intentions with joy. Don’t let triggers pull you into spirals of doubt; instead, use them to spiral upward. Remind yourself: you are amazing, and this is a powerful time to consciously co-create your life and the world around you. The gate is open.
